Swedish for immigrants
Medis arranges courses in Swedish for immigrants.
SFI – Courses in Swedish as Second Language full time
The courses are full-time. They are financed by the Åland regional government and applicants must be registered with the Labor Market and Study Services Agency on Åland (AMS).
The application is made to AMS
The courses at CERF level A1-B1.1 start in April, August, January and October if there are enough applicants. Note: In spring 2026 there will be no new course starting in April; we will only be offering a continuation course. See the AMS website for current course starts.

Language exams
Registration for general language exams in Swedish application is closed.
Registration for the general language exams in Swedish – You can register for the exam from February 23 to March 28, 2026.
